WHAT IS THE AIR CADETS’ LOTTERY?
The Air Cadets Lottery is an optional fundraising tool that allows squadrons to raise funds to support their financial needs.
With 100,800 tickets available for sale, the Air Cadets Lottery is an excellent way of promoting the Air Cadet programme to the public.

The draw took at 7:00 p.m. on April 12, 2024 at the Royaume des Quilles, located at 29, rue Victoria in Saint-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC under the supervision of Mr. André Guilbault.
2022 National Effective Speaking Competition
10 cadets will present a prepared speech and an impromptu speech.
Each year, we are surprised by the quality of the participants who come from all over Canada.

2021 Chairman’s Award
The interviews for the Chairman’s Award 2021 were held virtually on October 3rd.
The six candidates demonstrated their dynamism and leadership. The Chairman’s Trophy is awarded to a cadet who, through his/her actions, social involvement and leadership, represents the values of the Air Cadet League. The cadet must be able to share their ideas and experiences in their community. The finalists are :

WO2 Julie Brunelle, 784 Squadron, Laval/North Shore Region
WO1 Daphne Colombe, 629 Squadron Quebec Region
WO1 Anthony Depachtère, 96 Squadron, Montreal East Region
WO1 Tommy Harvey, 634 Squadron Saguenay/Lac St-Jean/Northern Quebec region and
WO2 Tina Zhang, 690 Squadron, Montreal West Region
This year, the cadets who finished in the top 3 places each received a cash prize. In addition to having his name affixed to the Chairman’s Trophy, the 1st place cadet was awarded the honorary title of Cadet Ambassador of the Year 2021-2022!
In 3rd place, WO1 Anthony Depachtère, 96 Alouettes Squadron from the Montreal East region, in 2nd place WO1 Tommy Harvey, 634 Jonquière Squadron from the Saguenay / Lac St-Jean / Northern Quebec region and the grand prize winner who earns the title of Cadet Ambassador 2021-2022 and will represent the 6400 Air Cadets of Quebec and the Ottawa Valley is WO2 Tina Zhang from 690 – Lakeshore Squadron, Montreal West. As an ambassador, Tina Zhang’s main task will be to promote her organization to potential members and help train the next generation of cadets.

L’ Auto-Cadet 2017-2018 – Funding Campaign
Description
The L’Auto-Cadet campaign is the main fundraiser of the Quebec and Ottawa Valley Provincial Committee. This year, the involvement of cadets and the supervision of our members meant that we sold 362,400 l’Auto-Cadet tickets from the month of August to February. The tickets were sold throughout the province of Quebec. Ontario squadrons are not allowed to participate.

2018 Annual National Congress
The National Congress of the Air Cadet League of Canada brings together all provincial committees and their voting members so they can share information about League management practices and the various working committees. It is also during this Congress that the annual general meeting takes place. The congress location varies on an annual basis, traveling between all Canadian provinces
2018 Annual Provincial Congress
The Provincial Congress brings together cadets, civilian squadron members and officers of the Eastern Regional Cadet Support Unit (RCSU-Eastern) for a weekend of training and information sharing related to squadron best practices and management. The Provincial Congress welcomes almost 300 people a year. The location of the congress varies on an annual basis, alternating between Québec City and the Greater Montreal region.
2019 Provincial Effective Speaking Competition
The Provincial Effective Speaking Competition provides an opportunity to all cadets finalists from Regional Competitions to display their public speaking skills. By highlighting the significance of the quality of their speech, the Air Cadet League helps develop their leadership skills and fosters their self-esteem.
The winner will have the opportunity to represent the Provincial Committee of Quebec and Ottawa Valley at the National Competition, which will be held during the Annual National Congress.
Provincial Band and Drill Competition 2019
The provincial Band and Drill competition is a unique event that allows cadets to develop their team spirit and refine their attitude in authority-driven situations. This event is defined by the key concepts of discipline, respect and solidarity.
