Sad News – LCol (Ret) Edmond Lanthier passed away.

It is with great regret that the Provincial office team informs you of the passing of one of our volunteer members, Mr. Edmond Lanthier.

Very few details have been provided to us at this time. It seems that his health had greatly deteriorated in recent weeks, and it is with sadness that we were informed of his death on Thursday morning.

Following his 47-year military career where he served with several elements, including CIC, Edmond joined the Air Cadet League of Canada (Quebec and Ottawa Valley) in 1999.  He has held several positions over the years.  He was Provincial chair and Executive Director from 2003 to 2005, Provincial treasurer, member of the Advisory Council and Squadron Advisor, most recently for 500 Outaouais Squadron.  Edmond was awarded the Honorary Life Member of the ACL in 2017.

To all his team-mates, collaborators as well as all his friends who have had the chance to work with him within the great family of the League, the chair of the QOVPC joins us to offer our sincerest condolences as well as the expression of our deepest sympathy.
