The Chairperson’s Award is the highest honour bestowed by the Quebec and Ottawa Valley Provincial Committee (QOVPC) on a cadet. It recognizes a cadet who, through his or her actions, social involvement and leadership, represents the values of Canada’s Air Cadet Program.
The aim of the Chairperson’s Award is to promote the development of the following qualities in its participants:
- A sense of responsibility and commitment,
- The will to excel,
- A sense of belonging through better knowledge of the Air Cadet League of Canada, and
- Communication skills.
The winning cadet must be able to share his or her ideas and experiences in the community, update ideas and mobilize others to implement a project.
