The Quebec and Ottawa Valley Committee’s 77th Provincial AGM
The 77th Provincial Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Air Cadet League of Canada (Quebec and Ottawa Valley) took place from September 28 to 30, 2018. Around 300 managers, partners and cadets came together at the École nationale de police du Québec in Nicolet for a weekend of sharing, training and recognition.
The Chairman’s Award also took place during the AGM. The Chairman’s Award allows cadets who take part in the competition to develop the following qualities: a sense of responsibility and commitment, a desire to excel and strong communication skills.
This year, Warrant Officer Second Class Christelle Ayoub has been selected to represent Quebec and Ottawa Valley as the cadet ambassador. It’s worth nothing that the Chairman’s Award is the Provincial Committee’s most prestigious award offered to cadets. Adj 2 Ayoub will have the opportunity to represent cadets throughout Quebec and Ottawa Valley as a spokesperson. All nine cadets who went through to the provincial competition will also be able to represent their respective regions and be part of the cadet ambassador’s team.
Here are the members of this year’s cadet ambassador’s team:
- WO2 Christelle Ayoub (830 Pierrefonds)
- WO1 Laura Gordon-Guimont (632 Phoenix)
- F Sgt Gabriel Paré (894 Charlesbourg)
- WO2 Tayeb Idjakirene (518 Rosemont)
- WO1 Andrew Ma (338 Junior Wildcats Brossard Optimist)
- WO2 Lucas Galand (100 Laval)
- WO2 Ève-Marie Roy (785 St-Eustache)
- WO2 Simon Bouchard (634 Jonquière)
This year’s AGM would not have taken place without the involvement of our dedicated volunteers. We would also like to thank our sponsors for their outstanding generosity: BMO Bank of Montreal, NAV Canada, Aéro Montréal, the Royal Canadian Air Force Association and the Cosmodôme.
